Year 2 visit to The Fireground

What a fantastic day we had on our trip on Monday!

We had lots of fun at 'The Fireground' in Rocdale including sharing our amazing knowledge of The Great Fire of London, learning even more interesting facts, having a go at using an old fashioned fire squirter and taking a trip round the museum exploring how fire engines have changed over time! 

After lunch took part in an interactive experience where we looked closely at a real fire engine - we even sat in the front seats and tried on lots of different uniforms and helmets! We also had lots of fun sliding down a fireman's pole and 'driving' a fire engine to a real life emergency!
