Reception - Our recycled Fish Sculpture

Michelle Reader was our inspiration for our recycled sea life artwork.

After learning abut ocean conservation and how sad it was to find so much litter on the beach. We found some wonderful artists, like Michelle, who make sculptures from rubbish! As we don’t live near the beach we thought of things we could use that we might throw away. We got lots of bottles and made them into fish, just like Michelle’s.

We painted them and some of use added tissue (decoupage) to decorate them.

we made a coral reef to display them, using boxes and paper. We added bottle tops for limpets and shells.
