Reception - Our First Week!

Lesson: EYFS

Class: Reception Year: 2024 - 2025

What a busy week! But look at all these happy smiling faces. 

This week we have been:

• We have been very busy getting to know our teachers
  and making new friends! We have learnt our daily routines and
  where to put our belongings; in our tray/drawer and on our coat peg.
• We have been sharing the story ‘The Colour Monster’
  and explored emotions. We have talked about what makes us
  special and things that make us happy.
• In drawing club we drew our own colour monsters and wrote magic words to make them do silly things. We wrote messages to the colour monster when he was feeling blue, to cheer him up!
• We had two PE sports coach session this week (Tues and Fri). This term we are doing dance!
• In maths we have been looking at size ordering and learnt about Herman the Worm! We also explored making matching pairs. We will continue this next week.
• In science we have explored colour mixing and enjoyed mixing primary colours to make new colours and painted some beautiful rainbows.
