Reception - Mondrian artwork

Class: Reception Year: 2022 - 2023

As we were focussing on squares and rectangles this week, as part of leanring about number 4, we explored work by the artist Piet Mondrian. We then created our own artwork based on his ideas. We had to rotate the shapes to make them fit, and find shapes that would fit into gaps, some of us cut the shapes smaller to fit. We had to leave a gap between the shapes to show a black line, and worked hard to keep the shapes straight. 
We think they look fantastic!
