Autumn Fun!

We really enjoyed sharing our autumn treasures and exploring all of the things we found that were the same and different. We looked at size, shape, colour and texture.

On Tuesday Leaf Man arrived! He had blown in with the autumn wind. We shared the story of Leaf Man by Lois Elhert and began making our own leaf people pictures!

We have been painting autumn trees using autumn colours. We revisited our knowledge on colour mixing and made brown and orange. We used cotton buds instead of paintbrushes to gently dot the leaves on the tree.

We explored leaf rubbing, using crayons and leaves underneath paper. We looked at the texture of the leaves and the patterns they create.
