Class 1 - We made kites!

Class: Reception Year: 2021 - 2022

We shared the story "Somebody swallowed Stanley" by Sarah Roberts. It helped us begin our learning about plastics in the ocean and how it is affecting our sea life. We have thought about it alot this week and talked about how we can reuse and recycle. At the end of the story, Stanley is changed from a plastic bag into something much more useful, a kite! This inspired us to make our own kites. We worked with the grownups to use a template, hole puncher, sticks and string, to create our very own kites. We were blessed with fabulous windy playtime to test them out!
